Boutique Publications is an small independent e-book publishing house that focuses on bringing inspirational and entertaining novels, “Biz Chick Lit” if you will, and educational non-fiction, to women interested in small business as well as women who love to work miracles on small budgets . New authors welcomed! If you or someone you know is a niche blogger with a book idea, book proposal or completed manuscript, I would love to hear from you!

Boutique Publications is currently accepting submissions in the following genres:

Contemporary Fiction:

Submissions in this category should have a protagonist that is either starting or growing her own business. This should also be the main plot. Other acceptable submissions would be a woman fighting to keep her business open or from being taken over. Main characters can be any age and any ethnicity. The sub plots can be romantic, however as these are secondary and we do not want to pull focus from the main plot, no sex scenes should be included, explicit or implied.

Non-Fiction:

These submissions should either fit into “How I Did It” or "Profile" . For "How I Did It", you should have first hand experience on the subject matter such as starting and running a business or decorating your house on a shoestring budget and you should be telling your own story. Think, “Memoirs of...”. As for the "Profile", Interviews, time lines etc of other women who have started a business or again, in another budget friendly subject matter, preferably all profiles will be in the same general field, i.e. Kitchen makovers under $500 or dance related business, etc...

Questions to ask yourself before submitting:

• Is this something I would like to read?
• Will my book fit into any of the categories listed above?
• Are my protagonist and business believable? If the business is a travel agency specializing in trips to Mars, Boutique Publications is not the publishing house for you.
• Am I willing to work with Boutique Publications in an effort to market myself and my book(s)?

If you answered yes to these questions, we would love to hear from you.

Guidelines:

Detailed book proposals and ideas should be emailed to our submissions email address below and have “Book Proposal” in the subject line.

If you have a completed manuscript, you may submit via our website or email. Please send us the first three (3) chapters only, a short bio, including your full name and telephone number and, if applicable an alternate email address, as well as your website or Blog information. Submissions and Bio should be in a Word document, sent as attachments if sent through email. All emailed submissions should have “Submission” in the subject line.

Please read through your work, self edit as thoroughly as possible. We suggest you have an honest friend read trough it as well.

As we are a small publishing house, every submission receives a response within 2-3 weeks.
