About the Company:Welcome and thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about Boutique Publications. Boutique Publications is a royalty paying publishing house. There are no fees to our authors. It is, however, suggested that you copyright your manuscript. An avid reader my entire life, I have lovingly consumed thousands of fiction and hundreds of non fiction books. The ones that always strike a chord with me are where the “under dog comes out on top” and business related books. Unfortunately there aren’t as many of these books as I would like, and when I decided to do something about that, Boutique Publications was born. I read my first e-book in early 2006 and just knew that this would be the main vehicle I would utilize for my business. E-publishing, alongside of traditional publishing allows me to offer a better price for my customers while also giving my authors a platform accessible throughout the world. I decided I would focus on novels whose main character is either starting or growing a business. What I like to call “Biz Chick Lit” or “Biz Lit”, and no, I have nothing against the chick lit that is already out there. I have some on my book shelves as I write this, “Devil Wears Prada” anyone? However, it is my opinion, that we can be entertained while being inspired and acquiring fresh ideas to help us achieve our life goals. So, while the love life of a 20 or 30-something can be funny and a good read, setting her sights on her own Shoe Design Company that will rival the Manolo Blahnik’s of the world while trying to win back the love of her life, makes her journey more substantial. An added plus, ladies, is that we don’t have to feel guilty, it is considered business research!
